Is There a Petition to Recall U.D.P. Party Leader?

Is there a move afoot to trigger a recall of Collet Area Representative Patrick Faber as leader of the United Democratic Party?  The rumor mill has it that a petition is being circulated among delegates to solicit signatures to trigger a recall convention.  Reports are that the signatures collected thus far exceed the minimal threshold of one hundred and seventy-seven names.  However, when News Five spoke with U.D.P. Chairman Mike Peyrefitte earlier today, he told us while he too has heard murmurs of such a petition; nothing formal has reached his desk. Faber, as we reported two weeks ago, was at the heart of a scandal, following the leak of a video involving a domestic altercation with the mother of his young daughter.  In the wake of that incident, the U.D.P. party leader publicly apologized for his actions.
