Body Found at Larks Caye Died from Multiple Injuries: Still Not Identified
Police have released the postmortem results of a body found near Lark Caye, off the coast of Placencia two weeks ago. As we reported, when Coast Guard officers found the corpse, it was only half a body, and it was badly decomposed. In fact, they could not even identify its gender. Well, tonight we can say that doctors have identified the remains as a male between the age of forty to fifty who died from multiple blunt force traumatic injuries to the chest and abdominal area. Given the proximity to the area where a suspected drug plane had crashed into the sea only a few days before, there are suspicions that the body may belong to the plane’s pilot. At this time, that has not been verified by police or investigating coast guard team.
