Ugundani dancers hold performance at Bliss
The Ugundani Dance Company invites you to their fifth annual dance show entitled, “Gudemein”. This year the presentation is dedicated to Garifuna leader Joseph Chatoyer who was assassinated on March fourteenth, 1795. The show will be based on two hundred and four years of struggle since Chatoyer’s death. The twenty members of Ugundani will present both traditional and creative music and dances. The two-night show begins tonight at the Bliss Institute and will run until Friday. U.D.C. is a non-profit organization founded in 1986. They have performed in Mexico, Guatemala, Cuba and other places around the Caribbean.
