Woman Detained for Stabbing on La Isla Carinosa

A stabbing victim was airlifted from Caye Caulker over the weekend and is hospitalized at the Karl Heusner Memorial where he is being treated for his injury.  The crime was reportedly perpetrated by a woman who inflicted a single stab wound to his chest.  While details on the incident are scant, Assistant Superintendent Fitzroy Yearwood commented on the matter briefly.

“In Caye Caulker, we received a report that yes he was stabbed, he was transported by air ambulance to Belize.  He was stabbed to the chest actually and we have one female detained.  I am almost certain that that female will be charged shortly, but to give you an update on his position, I am not at liberty as yet because I haven’t received an update on him.  But as soon as this female is charged, I will release her name to you and other particulars and circumstances surrounding that incident.”
