Artist returns from European tour

Terryl Godoy, Belize’s well-known street artist is back home after touring Mexico, Germany, London and Spain. Godoy, who called his trip, the Sweet and Sour Tour because while most of the trip went smoothly there were some rough moments, left Belize in August. According to the twenty-nine year old artist, the purpose of the trip was to make contacts and promote his Man At Work art.

“First thing, I got a lot of attention because back in those places, the skies are not like the Caribbean colors. So I have brought the Caribbean beauty to these countries. They have their own beauty but the colors that I have brought in my paintings everyone just had to take a look. Just take a peek and see and that attract a lot of people.”

Godoy says he made many contacts for future international shows and feels he has paved the way for other Belizean artists to promote their work abroad. However, Godoy won’t have much time to rest after the long trip because he is preparing for his upcoming show scheduled for December.
