Jasmine Hartin Out on Bail…Again
In other court news, Canadian Jasmine Hartin made bail today and was released this afternoon from the Belize Central Prison in Hattieville. Details of who stood bail or the thirty-thousand-dollar surety for her this time were not shared by her attorney Dickie Bradley, nor is it known if she will be returning to San Ignacio where she was staying until last Friday. Hartin spent the weekend at the prison after her bail was withdrawn by Frank Habet of Grand Colony. On Friday, Hartin was also arraigned in the San Pedro Magistrate’s Court for common assault and possession of a controlled drug. She was offered bail of one thousand dollars for those charges before she was brought to Belize City before the Supreme Court. She is to reappear in the San Pedro Magistrate’s Court to face charges of manslaughter by negligence on August twelfth in connection with the death of Police Superintendent Henry Jemmott on the island in May.
