Tropic Air celebrates twentieth anniversary
In 1979, Tropic Air was a one-airplane charter company offering service between San Pedro and the international airport. Twenty years later the airline has a nine aircraft fleet with daily service to every district and flights to Guatemala. Today, the company celebrated their anniversary with an open house at its headquarters and branch offices. The celebration included discount fares to all Tropic destinations.
John Greif, President, Tropic Air
“We just wanted to give a little something back to the public, to the people who have supported us all these years. We have two first prizes. They are both round trips to Houston, one from our friends from Continental and the other from our friends from Taca. Then we have got T-shirts, polo shirts, trips to Tikal with Tropic, things like that. But the big deal is the two round trips to Houston.”
Greif says the company has plans to expand its service to Guatemala and begin flying to Mexico and Honduras.
