PACT produces desk diaries
With the start of November, you’ve probably noticed that your appointment calendar is starting to run out of pages. But you won’t have to buy an imported replacement because local diaries featuring some of Belize’s most beautiful scenes become available at the end of the month. The Protected Areas Management Trust is producing Agenda 2000. It includes color photos of archaeological sites, animals and birds and protected parks and natural monuments. There are also maps of protected areas and information on world heritage sites, the barrier reef system and the mesoamerican biological corridor project. The diaries sell for forty-five dollars Belize. Since 1996 PACT has funded twenty-three conservation projects totaling over six hundred thousand dollars and is in the process of establishing the PACT Foundation.
