Policeman’s sons charged with murder

In crime news, the sons of a police officer have been charged with murder following a drunken brawl on Halloween which led to the death of thirty-six year old Javier Moralez. Police say eighteen year old Lisandro Matu and nineteen year old Luis Matu were drinking with Moralez at the New Capital Restaurant in Belmopan when the three got into an argument. Things got out of control and Moralez was stabbed in the abdomen. At this time police say they have not determined who inflicted the wound. Nevertheless, Lisandro and Luis Matu, whose father is a police inspector have been charged with murder. On Tuesday, the brothers appeared in the Belmopan Magistrate’s Court and were remanded to Hattieville Prison until December thirteenth when they are scheduled to reappear in court.
