No Face-to-Face Summer School
A memo to general managers of all schools has been shared with News Five. It is from the Ministry of Education, Culture, Science and Technology and signed by Chief Education Officer Yolanda Gongora. According to the memo, dated today, all pre-primary, primary, secondary schools and tertiary institutions are not approved for face-to-face summer school instructions. The ministry says that it continues to be guided by the Ministry of Health and Wellness on the COVID-19 pandemic and so the decision was made. Schools, however, may offer summer school using online platforms for those students who need support to address promotion concerns or academic weaknesses for the new school year.
