Belmopan woman wins ten thousand dollars from Courts

This morning, Belize Courts Limited held its fourth Millennium Mania Draw. This time, however, the money will not be shared. A single winner, Sheridan Petillo of Belmopan, took home the prize money.

“This draw was for ten thousand dollars to one single winner. I am always happy when we give away big draws, prizes like these because the person takes home the full ten thousand dollars and we pay the taxes.”

For every fifty dollars spent Courts customers receive a raffle ticket which entitles them to enter all six draws. The next draw for twenty thousand dollars takes place in November and the final draw of fifty thousand dollars is in December. By the end of 1999, Courts, which also pays all taxes on the cash prizes, will have given away a total of one hundred and ten thousand dollars.
