Court of Appeal Judge sworn-in
Barbadian Elliot Motley was sworn in this morning as Justice of the Court of Appeal for the session that began today. After the ceremony at Belize House in Belmopan, Justice Motley paid a courtesy call on the Acting Solicitor General, Edwin Flowers and spoke with the Attorney General Godfrey Smith. He was accompanied by fellow Court of Appeal Justices Kenneth Michael Georges and Nicholas Liverpool. The Court of Appeal will run for two weeks. Justice Motley has served on the Court of Appeal four times previously on a commission basis, the first time was last October just after Hurricane Mitch.
