Vehicle stolen from city businessman

Story PictureThe frequency of reported crimes continues to haunt the cops. And though there are hot spots throughout the old capital that are often in the news, lately more robberies and burglaries are occurring in the heart of Belize City. In February “A Fashion” store on Albert Street was burglarized, businessman Madhu Babani was robbed in front of his Albert Street residence and a vehicle was stolen from a businessman on King Street. Today it was businessman Rehan Abdul who woke up to find his vehicle missing.

Rehan Abdul
“My vehicle is Nissan 97. I just parked last night about eight o’ clock. I just came now and there is no vehicle here. So I went to pick up the documents to take to the police station, you know.”

Jose Sanchez
“This is the second vehicle we’re hearing of being stolen and couple other businesses on Albert Street. Do you think they are targeting the Hindu Community?”

Rehan Abdul
“I don’t think they are targeting only the Hindu community because it is if they need money or something they will rob you. I don’t think they are enemies just to the Hindu Community but it can happen with anybody you know.”
