Collaboration Provides Opportunity to Showcase the Creative & Performing Arts

Through collaboration with Total Business Solutions Limited, an online platform will be established for Belizeans to tune in to the different activities and events across the country. Kim Vasquez says that it provides an opportunity to showcase the expressive and performing arts.

“We need the online platforms. We need to find a way to bridge the gap right now for the performing arts, for the expressive arts. And we can do so much more; I think we are still just tapping into how we can use these platforms where the expressive arts and the performing arts are concerned. And like I said, this for us. We are focusing on the literary arts because we want for this year that reflection to take place and we want to encourage the writers to help us to create that body. We need to build a national collection of writings on emancipation, on enslavement and on Belizean history on a hold. We have a lot of talents poets and writers and so this collaboration can help us to give them a platform for their work and to encourage more during this time when it is so hard to pull off a reading or any kind of stage performance. This is the solution right here for us.”
