Ryan Foster is Shot on Sarstoon Street

An attempt was also made on the life of a Belize City resident on Sunday.  Ryan Foster was riding a bicycle in the company of another individual when they came under gunfire in the vicinity of Sarstoon Street.  Foster was struck by one of the bullets and is hospitalized at the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital.  Viewers may recall that earlier this year, Foster was also injured in an officer-involved shooting when he allegedly attempted to escape from lawful custody at the Raccoon Street Police Station.  Communications Director Fitzroy Yearwood shared a few details with the media earlier today.

“Ryan Foster was riding along with another male person on Sunday when approaching an area on Sarstoon Street, they heard shots ring out.  Foster was hit and transported to K.H.M.H. where he was listed in a stable condition.  Suspects so far, we are interviewing persons in that area, persons of interest but up to this time we haven’t brought charges against anyone.”
