15 former core sampler workers get terminated
It’s been over a month since the cane farmers’ strike ended and work recommenced in the sugar industry. Since then the core sampler has been dismantled and only the empty building remains. But for the fifteen employees who were hired to operate the machine, the effects of its removal hit home today. At around midday all of those employees were handed their letters of termination and paid off.
