New Chargé d’Affaires for U.S. Embassy
The U.S. Embassy has a new Chargé d’Affaires. Leyla Moses-Ones arrived in Belize on Friday and will serve at the embassy in Belmopan for three years. Chargé Moses-Ones most recently served as Deputy Chief of Mission in Albania from 2018 to 2021. Prior to this, she served in various capacities in Washington, D.C. as well as U.S. Missions in Costa Rica, Mozambique, Turkey, and Germany. Chargé Moses-Ones is an alumni of the National Defense University and holds a master’s degree in National Security and Defense Resource Strategy and an undergraduate degree from Georgetown University’s School of Foreign Service.
