Man Stabbed to Death in Salvapan
Police are seeking a suspect in the murder of Belmopan resident William Puc. His body was found in an area near a creek off Costa Rica Street Extension on Friday evening. It appeared that Puc had been socializing with a group of men in the area, but an argument ensued and things took a turn for the worse. Puc was stabbed multiple times and he succumbed to the injuries. Here is what police told us about their investigation.
ACP Joseph Myvett, Head, National Crimes Investigation Branch
“On Friday last, something around four P.M, police were called to the Costa Rica extension area in the San Martin Area in Belmopan where they observed the lifeless body of William Puc, thirty years with apparent stab wounds somewhere on the outskirts of Costa Rica Extension in some bushes. The scene was processed and the body was moved to the western regional hospital where it was pronounced dead. What the police know so far is that he was in confrontation with someone of Hispanic descent who he owed some money to. On Wednesday, while he was in that discussion with that person he was even threatened to be killed. However, no report was made to the police. A number of statements have been recorded in relation to the investigation. We are seeking one named suspect in relation to the investigation.”
