Sixteen year old killed when vehicle hits tree
On Friday night, a car being driven by twenty-three year old George Leslie crashed into a tree. Sixteen year old Erica Cal, who was sitting in the back seat with two other girls her age, suffered severe injuries and died at the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital. Another passenger in the front seat, Luis Gillette, twenty-three broke his foot. The group had just left the M and S Bar in St. Matthews Village and was heading towards Belmopan on the Western Highway when Leslie lost control of the vehicle. It ran off the road between miles forty-six and forty-seven.
