St. John’s student tops C.X.C.
A sixth form student from St. John’s College has won the 1999 open scholarship after getting the highest score on the C.X.C. in June: Sondra Melanie Garoy. The other highest ranking students were Angela Lee of Corozal Community College, Stephanie Allen of St. John’s Junior College, Andrew Lewis of Belize Technical College and Emily Melissa Waight also of St. John’s. A total of one hundred and five candidates sat the exam which covers the Arts, Business, Sciences, Social Sciences and Languages.
