Ministry of Education is Rebranded

This morning at the House of Culture, the Ministry of Education, now formally known as the Ministry of Education, Culture, Science and Technology, unveiled a new strategy and direction for the next four years.  The course of action encapsulates several different strategies, including the Plan Belize manifesto which seeks to address specific areas of academic strengthening under the Briceño administration.  Aside from introducing a new logo for that government department, issues such as curriculum overload, as well as Science, Technology, Art and Math or STEAM were discussed.  Minister of Education Francis Fonseca and Junior Minister, Doctor Louis Zabaneh, spoke in great detail about the remainder of this term of office in the context of achieving various milestones in the education sector. A new high school is also being proposed that will focus on STEAM education.
