Japanese volunteers to offer technical assistance
The Japanese are coming, but not until the year 2001. At that time the first group of Japanese overseas volunteers will arrive to provide their technical expertise in areas of agriculture and fisheries, manufacturing, civil engineering, health, education and sports. This morning the Prime Minister, Said Musa and Ambassador Katsuyuki Tanaka signed an exchange of notes which will allow Japan to send volunteers to Belize to aid in development. The ceremony took place at the Radisson Fort George Hotel.
