Chamber says Expo ’99 huge success

Whether you were looking for something to decorate your home, complete your grocery list or fill your stomach there was something for everyone at the Chamber of Commerce’s Expo ’99 this weekend. Sixty-five businesses were represented at the two-day annual event which highlights Belizean products and services. Thousands took advantage of the various give-a-ways and discounts. According to Sherry Constantino, B.C.C.I.’s Administrator, this year’s Expo was bigger than ever.

“I believe the show was a tremendous success this year. We had a lot of people who came in to support the Chamber and all the participants who took part in the show. So it went really well.”

Q: “Were you impressed with the displays set up by the various businesses that were represented?”

Sherry Constantino

“We were. I believe Jackie, this year they really went all out to decorate their booths the best they can. We have to congratulate the participants on what they did with their booths this year; it was really good.”

Q: “Were there any problems you all encountered that come next year you’ll try to remedy?”

Sherry Constantino

“Yes, one of the main things is the grounds. We have to try to see how we can prevent the flooding when the tide comes in. So that is one of the main things we need to try and address next year.”
