B.T.L. Made Presentations to Cabinet and C.E.O.s
But, did B.T.L. actually meet with Cabinet to present a bid for services in the Ministry of Rural Transformation? Prime Minister Briceño has said both Smart and B.T.L. met with C.E.O.s. We asked Chairman Lizarraga about that process.
Mark Lizarraga, Chairman, B.T.L.
“B.T.L. made a presentation to cabinet to bring it up to date to where we were and what we could be doing to help them. Then, I believe B.T.L. had a presentation at the C.E.O. level. Basically, we introduced ourselves to the C.E.O. caucus and told them what our services were etc. I am not aware of the details of that. But yes, we had two presentations, one to Cabinet and one to C.E.O. caucus. We have people in B.T.L. that are in charge of liaising with these customers. And, apparently what we gave them was not to their liking. Obviously, if we had made them an offer that was more palatable or more appeasing to them, they would have taken it. So, we have to go back to the drawing board and we would see, and I have not had those meetings yet, I am just back in the office this morning. But it helps us, it challenges us and it helps us to take a look at ourselves again to see where we can improve and how we can become more aggressive and competitive.”
