Prisoner stabbed at Hattieville
A twenty-year-old Hattieville inmate lies in the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital under guard after he was stabbed at the prison. According to the police, the incident took place around nine forty-five on Thursday morning. Emmerson Middleton was on his free period when Mark Stuart, another inmate reportedly approached him, pulled out a weapon and stabbed him in the chest. It is believed the attack was the result of a long-standing dispute between the prisoners. While Middleton has been on a remand warrant for burglary, Stuart is serving an eighteen-year sentence for firearm related crimes and aggravated burglary.
