P.S.U. Offers Scholarship Grants to Ten Students
Ten education grant scholarships were awarded earlier today to the children of financial members of the Public Service Union. Those grants were distributed across the country to successful student applicants in secondary and tertiary schools. The value of the scholarships, according to P.S.U. President Dean Flowers, amounts to seventeen thousand dollars.

“The initiative which amounts to the reestablishment of the P.S.U. Scholarship program stems from the Public Service Union’s constitution which mandates that a portion of membership dues is supposed to be allocated in an education fund for the provision of scholarships for children of financial members of the union and so with the election of a new executive we saw the adoption of a new education policy and within that policy came the requirement for us to provide education grants to secondary school children, primarily children of financial members. And the held this morning.”
