New Facilities for Calabash Caye Field Station
The University of Belize and the Turneffe Atoll Sustainability Association have signed an agreement for TASA to construct a terrestrial trail system, pier and a docking facility on the Calabash Caye Field Station. A statement from UB says the partnership allows for the sharing of expertise in marine conservation and research for the development of both institutions. TASA is the N.G.O. appointed by the Fisheries Department under the auspices of the Ministry of the Blue Economy and Civil Aviation. It co-manages the Turneffe Atoll Marine Reserve.
