Man Found Dead with Chop Wounds in Corozal Home

There was an apparent murder in Corozal on Thursday night, but so far police have no leads. Officers responded to a call from the Chimal home in the Finca Solana area. Guadalupe Chimal showed police the lifeless body of her husband, Angel, who was lying face up with a large open wound to his body. She told police she found him like that around six p.m. The body was transported to the Corozal Community Hospital where it awaits a post-mortem examination.
