TACA warehouse broken into
In Belize City a security guard was stunned to learn that he was a little too late to stop a burglary from taking place at the TACA Airlines warehouse on the boulevard. Eighteen year old Jeremy Romero told police that when he showed up for work at seven p.m. on Tuesday he was met by Customs Officers who told him that four boys had broken into the building. They said they saw the youths running away from the warehouse, each carrying a box. Initial police investigations have revealed that after the supervisor and his assistant closed the building at five that evening, the boys got into it by breaking off the padlocks of the main entrance shutters. Although the total value of stolen merchandise has not been determined, all the items in the warehouse were insured.
