P.U.P. holds National Convention

The People’s United Party held its National Convention this weekend at the Belize City Centre. Over five hundred delegates from the nation’s twenty-nine constituents voted for the party executive. Said Musa retained the party leadership as well as George Price as Leader Emeritus. His deputies are John BriceƱo and Maxwell Samuels. The Chairman is Jorge Espat and his first, second and third deputies are Jose Coye, Henry Canton, and Vildo Marin. Ralph Fonseca is campaign manager and he will be assisted by Deputy Eamon Courtenay. Francis Fonseca is treasurer. During the convention six resolutions were also passed on health, education, economic development, the performance of the government, crime and the party constitution.
