Boxing at Bird’s Isle on Sunday

The big boxing bout at big Bird’s Isle this Sunday has just gotten bigger. In addition to Horace Cadle versus Javier Gomez and the Ewart Lunk/Edgat Tuz match-ups, another professional bout has been added. Norman “Pappy Poti” Orosco will face Edward Lynch of Hattieville in a four round grudge match. We caught up with Orosco this morning.
Q: “For some time there has been talk about a fight between you and Edward Lynch. What’s happening on that front and why does this fight have to happen?”
Norman “Pappy Poti” Orosco, Boxer
“The fight between me and the champion McLauren caused all these problems and I can’t say I give the man wrong because he’s dangerous, he’s hungry; he’s more hungry than the champ. Understand? So I’m gonna give him that. We got to get this over with and done.”
Q: “What’s your game plan for Sunday?”
Norman “Pappy Poti” Orosco
“I will try my best to put a quick knock out. It’s gonna be a straight right with a swift upper cut. The referee will count from one to eight and it’s gonna be final. Knock out then it’s timber.”
The action starts at ten thirty a.m. this Sunday at Bird’s Isle.
