Eight-year-old reports rape
While police are looking into a possible abduction attempt in Belize City, they are also investigating a claim by an eight-year-old of La Democracia that she was raped at her grandmother’s house. The child reported that on August twenty-second around one thirty p.m. a man known to her only as “Bo-Rat” came into the house and had sexual intercourse with her. It is not clear if the child was at home alone at the time.
