Shooting Victim Hospitalized After Wednesday Night Attack

Another man was shot on Wednesday night in Belize City, but he is now hospitalized.  Police Superintendent Alejandro Cowo says that Eugene Tillett – a man well-known to the Police – was at home when he was attacked.

“What we understand is that just before nine p.m., Mr Tillett was inside of his house when someone came from Electric Avenue, ran inside his yard and fired several shots at his direction, causing his injuries. He is still admitted and is in a stable condition at this moment.”

Police believe that Tillett’s shooting could have been the result of an ongoing dispute with another man.
