Elderly woman raped in Lemonal
A thirty-seven year old man has been charged with breaking into an elderly woman’s home, raping, torturing and robbing her. The eighty-two year old woman of Lemonal told police her ordeal on the night of August twenty-third when the man knocked on her door and pretended to be a young relative. When she refused to open the door she says he then went around to the bedroom window and broke in. She says the assailant demanded money and raped her. He only got twenty dollars cash. Wayne Johnson was charged in the Belize City Magistrate’s Court this week.
