San Pedro Resident Clings to Life Following Shooting Incident
A San Pedro resident is clinging to life at the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital, following a shooting incident on the island on Tuesday evening. Noe Nelson Zetina was at the Sacachispas Football Field at the corner of Angel Coral and Buccaneer Streets with a friend when he was approached by man who produced his licensed nine-millimeter firearm and fired several shots in his direction. At least one of the bullets made its mark on Zetina’s head; he was rushed to the K.H.M.H. where he remains in a critical condition. ASP Fitzroy Yearwood says that the shooter is in police custody.

“Upon arrival, they managed to speak to the victim, because he was not unconscious when investigators revealed that sometime around 5:20 p.m., Noe was at the Sacachipas Football Field socialising with a friend when he was approached by a person known to him and that person took out a firearm and fired several shots towards him causing his injuries. We have since detained that person along with a licensed firearm and our investigators are trying to gather statements and do their best to see when and what charges will be levelled against that person.”
