Murder in Ladyville
Niccanor Fermin
There was a mid-morning murder in Ladyville today. Around nine-forty-five a.m., a vehicle was seen driving on Blue Marlin Drive, which is the entrance to the Vista Del Mar community. Shortly afterward, shots were heard in the area. Police responded and found the body of nineteen-year-old Niccanor Fermin. The Belize City resident was on the ground with gunshot wounds to the body. Fermin was transported to the K.H.M.H. and pronounced dead. The incident occurred in proximity to a checkpoint on the Philip Goldson Highway just past Manatee Lookout.
