Port Project Aligns With National Transportation Master Plan

During the question and answer segment, presenters were asked if the Port of Belize Expansion takes into account the transportation master plan. Here is the response.

“Yes it does. To put it in a word, it does. The transportation master plan for the country addresses road transportation, sea transportation, and air transportation. And, the transportation master plan calls for upgrading of the port facility of Belize. They recognize that there were many deficiencies in the current system. And, not only that, the Belize City master plan calls for improvements of the Port Facilities. So, there is a number of plans that call for the improvement of the Port Facilities of Belize.”
