Armed robbery at Z-Line Bus Terminal
A daylight heist at a Belize City bus station has netted two armed robbers just over $600. According to the sales clerk at the Z-Line bus service on Magazine Road, just before 1 p.m. this afternoon, two young Creole men walked into the office and one of them pulled out a gun. The men demanded money and seeing the open cash register, grabbed the morning’s sales, a total of $635.75. The sales clerk and another employee were then ordered to lay on the ground while the robbers walked out of the office as calmly as they had walked in. When the employees were sure that they were out of harm’s way, they called the police but by the time officers arrived, the men had vanished. No arrests have yet been made.
