Inspector’s evidence fails to materialize

Story Picture
Somewhere between the 6th of April and the 19th of August all of Brooks’ evidence apparently developed dry rot as when the case was finally called the D.P.P. said the police file had nothing worth bringing to court. Likewise in the case of four men accused in the killing of Samantha Gordon last November. On June 30th Inspector Eli Salazar announced a major break in the investigation… along with a bizarre motive for the murder.

Insp. Eli Salazar, Lead Investigator

(June 30th, 1999) “We need to also inform the public that Samantha Gordon’s death, as far as the evidence is showing, was a paid murder; it was a contract killing. It was disclosed by one of the accused that Samantha Gordon contracted him with the HIV virus thus her death came about.

We have evidence but we will not be disclosing the evidence in depth right now. The investigation is ongoing and we are afraid it might prejudice the investigation.”
