Belize Education Project Wins IDB Superhero Award
Meanwhile, Belize is one of four winning countries of the IDB’s Superheroes of Development 2021 Initiative. The awards recognize creative and innovative solutions in Latin America and the Caribbean. The four winning projects from Belize, Ecuador and El Salvador were selected from among 91 proposals submitted. Superheroes of Development’s fourth edition complements the Bank’s Vision 2025, which focuses on improving project implementation, monitoring, and results measurement for a positive impact on livelihoods in Latin America and the Caribbean. Belize’s winning submission was based on an inquiry and problem-based learning implemented by the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture, and Technology.
