Cyclist Killed Near Biscayne

On Monday evening a traffic accident between miles twenty-seven and twenty-eight on the Phillip Goldson Highway resulted in the death of a man from Biscayne.  Police report their initial investigation reveals Evelio Alvarez was traveling on the Philip Goldson Highway, from the direction of Orange Walk towards Sand Hill, when he encountered Mark Anthony Faber who was on a bicycle.  Faber allegedly ran into the front of his pickup and was injured.  Alvarez told police he swerved to the left to avoid hitting the cyclist but to no avail.  Faber was transported to the K.H.M.H. where he succumbed to his injuries while undergoing treatment.
