NGC Releases November Event Calendar

The National Garifuna Council has released its calendar of events for the 2021 Virtual November Celebrations. The NGC says it is working with partners and communities to ensure that this year’s calendar of activities focus on Garifuna identity, spirituality and perseverance. Events include panel discussions, virtual museum tours and more, leading up to the re-enactment of the arrival of the Garinagu to the shores of Belize. National Garifuna Council branches countrywide will be hosting various activities under the theme ‘I for You, You for Me’ Is the Garifuna Way; Let Us Move Forward. The Council reminds everyone to continue protecting each other during the COVID-19 pandemic to mitigate the spread of the disease.
