Belize and Taiwan Initiate Women’s Small Business Program
Today, Belize’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Eamon Courtenay and the Ambassador of the Republic of China (Taiwan) to Belize, David Kuan-Chou Chien signed a letter of intent for a project to promote women’s entrepreneurship and social inclusion through financial and technical collaboration. The women- and youth-led micro, small, and medium enterprises will benefit from extensive professional and vocational training, business incubation programmes, financial relief counselling, and a bolstered national network of support. The 15-month project launches this month and is facilitated through the Taiwan International Cooperation and Development Fund.
