Adult and minor charged for robbery/shooting of tacos vendor

In other news, police have charged eighteen year old Tariq Tzul of West Street in Belize City for the crime of Attempted Robbery. A seventeen year old minor who was Tzul’s partner in crime was also charged with Attempted Robbery, Attempted Murder, Use of Deadly Means of Harm, and Wounding. The incident occurred on Sunday at a tacos stand located at the corner of Banak Street and Central American Boulevard. Twenty year old Alejandro Pech says that while making some tacos for a customer, Tzul and the minor of Mayflower Street walked up and grabbed his money bag from behind the counter. A struggle ensued between Pech and Tzul, and the minor fired two shots, one of which grazed Pech on his right thigh and the other struck Tzul’s ankle.
