Taxi driver murdered in San Ignacio
Another Belizean taxi driver has been taken down a fatal road. On Thursday August 5th, around 9:30 p.m., 46 year old Mariano Gomez agreed to take a Hispanic male to Branch Mouth, San Ignacio. When the taxi man failed to return home, his son, Denfield Gomez, also a taxi driver, decided to go look for him. He found his father about a mile from Branch Mouth, lying unconscious in his car with gunshot wounds to his chest. He was rushed to the Belmopan Hospital where he later died.
