Financial Award to be Used in Programs

According to Manzanero, about eight hundred pounds, or two thousand two hundred Belize dollars, will be given to both organizations which will be funnelled into community programs along the border.

“That will be separated or shared by both between Balam and FCD and we will be looking forward to revolving that small fund to other kind of works on the ground. For example, Balam is thinking of subsidizing one of the youth groups that we started three years ago which is Todos Por Un Mundo Verde in Guatemala so that they can be able to link up with other exchange programs with our youth groups here in Belize. So that is part of our ongoing work.”
