City Council holds summer camp
Over the next two weeks, children from all over Belize City are participating in the City Council’s annual summer program. The rain drove them to 4th Floor of the Commercial Center today, but the bad weather didn’t dampen their fun.

“We’re having our summer program. This is the third of its kind and there are so much children who are bored and want somewhere to go and parents are at work and want somewhere for the children to go. They will be doing football, basketball, they’ll be doing craft work, we have Mr. Messer who will be teaching them Caribbean dance and lots of other things we have planned for them.”
Students from the Belize Technical College and the University College of Belize are assisting with the program. It runs from nine until twelve daily and is free. On good days, you can find them at the BTL Park.
