Three vehicles damaged in Northern Highway accident
A three car pile-up on the northern highway has left several persons with various degrees of injuries. At around eight-forty Sunday morning, fifty-one year old Julio Diaz of Belama Phase Two told police that while driving away from the Brodies parking lot in his Toyota Rav-four, a Geo Prizm taxi driven by thirty-two year old Louis Haynes also travelling towards Belize City collided into the rear end of his vehicle. On impact, the taxi swerved to the other side of the road where a Nissan Quest van with security guards travelling towards the Haulover Bridge crashed head on into the taxi. All three vehicles were damaged and Haynes received facial injuries while his fare and the occupants of the other two vehicles were slightly injured. Police are yet to ascertain whether anyone will be charged.
