White Swan bar patrons robbed at gunpoint
In other crime news, around ten-thirty on Friday night, four masked bandits, armed with handguns, targeted the White Swan Bar at mile seven on the Stann Creek Valley Road. Bartender, Cleotilda Montoya of Hope Creek, says that four Hispanic men wearing peak caps entered the establishment, placed a gun to her head and demanded money. Montoya says she was relieved of her personal items and five hundred dollars from the cash drawer. The brazen thieves then targeted the patrons in the bar and robbed them of cell phones, watches, personal documents and cash valued over five thousand five hundred dollars. Also stolen were an assortment of liquors and cigarettes valued at three hundred dollars. Police have since arrested and charged fifty year old Rene Barahona and thirty year old Manuel Hernandez, both of Hope Creek Village for seven counts of robbery. Police are currently looking for two others in relation to the incident.
