CARICOM leaders meet in Belize
In other news from Belmopan, CARICOM leaders will meet in Belize for two days this week. Topics for the twentieth Inter-Sessional Meeting of the Conference of Heads of Government will include the global economic crisis, the European Partnership Agreement, Single Market and Economy, a trade and development agreement with Canada, among others. Preparations for the Fifth Summit of the Americas scheduled for April in Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago will also make it on the packed agenda. Prime Minister Dean Barrow currently holds the rotating chairmanship of CARICOM. The meeting will be held on Thursday and Friday.
